Sunset in Hollywood, when the stars come out to play. Also, the perfect feeding time for Paul. He stepped in between the cocky citizens of LA and the clunky tourists they bumped aside. Feeling invisible he moved quickly in and out of the crowds searching for his next victim. A hot model? Nah, the screw would be decent, but the blood would probably taste like vomit. Girls who puked after they ate sickened him. An Asian tourist? Easy for them to disappear and never be found again, but too intimidating. They were always packed into such tight groups. A teenage dirtbag? Those were his favorite because they had so much in common, but for some reason the scene-sters were not out tonight. Maybe past their bedtime.

Then a venue caught his eye, emptying out as he walked by, Paul watched as even the security guards left their posts. A big, blue tour bus was parked beside the small building and that was when he realized he had to pursue this conquest. Whichever stuck-up musician resided in the blue monstrosity, he decided to make his dinner.

Carefully, Paul watched roadies and crew members pack up the bus and leave in another van. Then he saw several guys step out of the venue and into the ally beside it.

"I'm gonna smoke before we head out," said a tall, skinny blond guy.

Paul watched as the blond rock star leaned against the brick of the building and lit a cigarette. His silouhette stood picturesque in the dirty ally of the LA streets. Paul grinned and walked over. The dude just gave him an awkward glance in response to his presence.

"Can I bum one of those man?"

The blond guy nodded and took another cigarette out of his pack, handing it to Paul.

"Thanks I forgot to buy more," Paul grinned as he lit the cancer stick between his lips.

"Yeah, that happens," said the guy adding an air of annoyance to his tone. He clearly did not appreciate Paul's company but that wasn't about to stop him.

"So, you all just get finished playing a show?"

He nodded again, silently taking another drag.

"I bet you guys suck," Paul joked.

The blond shot him daggers, scrunching up his eyebrows in frustration.

"Look, what do you want man?" he asked. "I have to get going."

"Just a chat. You too good to hangout or something?" Paul shot back at him maintaining his cheeky grin.

"Whatever."

"I'm Paul."

"Taylor," he said.

"By the way," Paul continued inching closer to his prey, "I only want one thing from you."

Taylor looked at him quizzically then, putting out his cigarette with his foot. Paul could see him glancing at the tour bus windows nervously. Paul liked that his victim could already sense the danger ahead which meant that this kill would be even sweeter.

Adding to the suspense, Paul took another drag and slowly put out his own cigarette practically able to hear Taylor gulp down his fear. He knew by now that the look in his own eyes were borderline demonic. He could feel the monster inside of him making it's way to the surface.

"And what is that?" Taylor asked stupidly. "If you want money we have plenty of it. . . I- I don't have any drugs man."

Paul laughed, deep and throaty unlike his previous jolly chuckle. He couldn't control his hunger now, allowing his face to fully distort into the vampiric form. The look on Taylor's face was that of pure horror. Paul lunged forward and grabbed the blond so he was unable to get away.

Whispering into his ear he said, "I don't want drugs Taylor. I want your blood."
