RULES:
1. You may participate in more than one horror category. Sign up for as many as you like so long as that category has not already been filled and you have enough time to complete the challenge(s).

2. What you will be writing is a drabble, ficlet, or short story based upon the horror icon category of your choosing. If you do NOT know what those terms mean, Google them, but I'm not going to be strict on the word count.

3. Within every category there will be a list of three, spooky challenges (a person, place, and a thing) that you MUST include within your piece. You can find these challenges on the main page by clicking on one of the horror film icons.

4. Use the three challenges any way you want- it doesn't have to be literal. Ex: Say one of the challenges is place: Indiana. That doesn't mean you have to have your story set in Indiana, you could have your main character originally from Indiana and misses his hometown. Let me know if you have any questions.

5. Once you have signed up for what you want to participate in, you may begin writing. You have until the deadline to finish.

6. For right now, I will only allow 3 writers per category. This is subject to change though if there is a lot of participation.

7. Challenge requests will be taken on a first come/first served basis meaning if a category is full then pick another one.

8. All Hanfic submissions can be of any genre (gen, slash, cest, etc.) and any pairing that you wish. Since these challenges are based around scary stories, anything goes.

9. Also, just because this is a Halloween Horror challenge, that doesn't mean you have to write a scary story and truly it doesn't even have to be about Halloween. Like I said, as long as the three challenges listed for your category are presented that's all that matters.

10. You may submit your finished products at any time before or on the deadline. Please read more about submitting in the guidelines.

11. As soon as I receive your submission(s) I will post it onto my website for all to read and enjoy.

12. There will be NO public voting, but I will definitely give out some type of award(s).

13. I will announce those that have completed the challenge followed by the awards on Oct. 31st.
