*chapter 22: three's company

"Come on in guys." Angela said to the boys, opening the front door wider for them to enter her house. "We'll be ready in a second."

The four Moffatt brothers followed her into the living room where Jeanine was sitting on the couch with Patti in her lap.

"SCOTTY!!!!" Patti squealed, climbing down from her current perch and running to her best friend in the whole wide world.

"Patti!" Scott exclaimed with equal enthusiasm, wrapping his arms around the tiny girl's body and scooping her up.

"Awwww, she's so cute!" Bob said with a grin, patting Angela's younger sister on the arm.

Patti gave him a smile, showing him her rows of tiny teeth. "Hewo." she said, reaching out for the new boy.

Scott handed the little girl to his brother and went to sit beside Angela on the loveseat. Bob sat with Patti on the couch next to Jeanine.

"Let me hold her Bob." Dave said, taking her from his triplet's grasp. "Hi!" he said with a grin.

Patti smiled at him too, introducing herself.

"Oh! I want a turn!" Clint whined. plopping next to Dave on the couch. He reached for the child. "She'll pro'ly like me best anyway. Kids love me."

The second he got Patti in his grasp, she started to scream.

"Clint! What are you doing to her?!" Scott scolded.

"Nothing! She just started crying!" Clint said frantically.

Patti struggled to get free from her captor. Clint held on tight, not wanting her to fall backwards and hit her head on the coffee table. Scott finally came to her rescue, taking the small, crying child out of his brother's hands. Patti instantly stopped crying once in the arms of a familiar and much loved person.

"She hates you Clint!" Bob laughed, clutching his stomach.

"That's odd, she usually loves everyone." Jeanine commented. "Even the mailman."

Clint pouted. "Go ahead, make me feel worse." he muttered, crossing his arms over his chest.

"What're we waiting for?" Dave asked.

"Timber and Carmen are upstairs changing and Kelly should be here any minute." Angela replied. "Do you guys want anything to drink?" she asked.

"No, we're cool." Bob said, speaking for everyone.

While the others conversed lightly, Clint managed to creep over to the loveseat and sit next to Scott. An unknowing Patti sat in Scott's lap, leaning back on him and seeming to be drifting to sleep while holding his finger. Clint tried to contain his laughter at the scandalous deed he was about to do. He crept his hand over across her stomach, poising himself to snatch the child from his eldest brother...

"Hey guys!" Timber exclaimed bouncing into the room hand in hand with Carmen.

Patti turned to look at the source of the voice, coming face to face with Clint. She let out a shriek before clutching tightly on to Scott and burying her face in his chest.

"Clint! She hates you! Go away!" Scott scolded.

"She CAN'T hate me! Everybody loves me!!!" Clint wailed.

"Awww, I love ya Clint!" Timber teased, hugging him.

"But Patti does not." Scott added.

Timber pulled back. "Patti doesn't like you?" she asked. "That's a first, what'd you do to her?"

"Maybe she doesn't like me because she likes Bob and I look like Bob. Maybe that scares her. So maybe if she met me first, she would like me and hate Bob." Clint rambled, trying to find out how he could not be liked.

"No Clint, I think she just doesn't like you." Scott taunted. "But she likes me so it's all good."

"She'll pro'ly still hate you in ten years." Timber said. "If she harbors enmity for you at this age, it'll always be there."

Clint pouted. "Thanks guys, you make me feel SO good." he said sarcastically.

The doorbell rang.

"That's Kelly." Angela said, getting up from the couch.

Scott took his girlfriend's hand, not wanting to be left behind. He set the little girl on the couch and left the room.

Clint looked over at Patti. She hadn't seemed to remember that he was there. She climbed off the couch and wandered over to the coffee table, playing with a decorative ornament in the center. He fished in his pocket for his box of Altoid mints, aiming to entice the little girl with candy. Taking one out of the box, he quietly set it down on the table beside her beautiful chubby little hand.

She looked at it for a moment, studying the little round white mint. Looking around to see the others conversing and paying no attention to her, she snatched it up and crammed it into her mouth. Clint grinned at this display, placing another mint on the table next to her. This time, she looked up at him but was silent. She snatched the mint up and put it in her mouth with the other one.

Clint laughed, elated that she was playing into his scheme. He held out another mint for her, this time not setting it on the table but holding it in the palm of his hand. Meanwhile, the others filed out into the foyer to greet their friend and prepare to leave for the fair. Patti took it from him, and ate it, waiting for him to produce more. Clint smiled, holding yet another mint out for her to take.

"You can't get away now!" he exclaimed, scooping her up and holding her while she sucked on the candy. She didn't seem to notice that he was carrying her.

Clint grinned, enjoying the soft baby smell radiating from the child's body and marveling over how adorable she was. He bounced her slightly on his hip, watching her curls bounce on her cheeks, pinned back by tiny cat barrettes.

Patti suddenly made a face on distaste. Clint began to panic, wondering if she was going to start crying again. She put her hand over her mouth, spitting the four mints into it and handed them to Clint.

He stared at the soggy disks, his face contorting in disgust. "I don't want those!" he exclaimed.

She giggled at his tone, finding it incredibly humorous that she could make him so disgusted. To increase his levels of displeasure, she dropped the saliva laden mints into his shirt pocket then struggled for him to let her down.

"Sick!" he exclaimed, setting her on the floor then going about getting the candy out of his shirt.

Patti giggled mindlessly, running out into the foyer to join the others.

"Come back here you little imp!" he exclaimed, running after her.

He caught up with her, scooping her up and having her erupt into another tirade of giggles.

"Hi Clint." Kelly said, smiling awkwardly.

For the first time, he noticed her.

"You remember Trevor." she said, gesturing for the guy who was joined to her by the hand.

* * *

"This sucks! This sucks so much... I don't even know what to do!" Clint lamented to Timber. "I just want to go home and hang myself!"

"Cry me a river, build me a bridge, and get over it." Timber snapped, rolling her eyes.

"You're not helping!"

The group of now eleven teenagers had gone to a carnival for an afternoon. Almost as soon as they had stepped into the fairgrounds, they separated into little groups. Scott and Angela went off on their own; Dave, Jeanine, Kelly, and Trevor had gone off towards to carousel; and Ben, whom they had picked up on the way, Carmen, Timber, Bob, and Clint had decided to go for the Ferris wheel.

"I'm so pissed off right now!" Clint exclaimed.

"Get over it Clint! You two broke up weeks ago! Why don't you find someone else to go out with?" Ben demanded.

"Like who?" Clint asked.

"I don't know! But Kelly has the right to date whomever she wants." Ben replied. "She's moved on, now it's your turn.”

"You guys, let's get in line!" Carmen cut into the conversation, changing the subject. "I sit next to Bob!" she exclaimed, taking his hand and running for the short line.

* * *

"Rollercoaster! Of love!" Timber, Bob and Carmen sung, all seated in the same cradle of the Ferris wheel. "Rollercoaster! Ooooh-hoo-hoo-hoo!"

"Oh Goddddd. Make it stop." Clint whined, leaning back in the cradle where he was seated next to Ben.

Ben grinned, patting Clint on the thigh. "You'll get over it bro."

Clint raised an eyebrow at his friend, confused by his gesticulation. "Do you really think I will?" he asked.

Ben smiled sincerely. "Yeah. I mean, there are so many other people out there who are dying to be with you." he said.

Clint blushed. "Yeah right." he mumbled. "The thing is... I don't even want to be with Kelly." he said intensely. "It just sucks that she can move on so quickly and not expect me to care. And she brings him up in my face every second of the day! I mean come on! She cheated on me with this guy!"

"Yeah... that's why girls are so misunderstood." Ben pointed out. "Especially Kelly. She never used to be like this either. She's changed so much, she was such a sweet girl."

"Yeah, that's why I liked her in the first place." Clint agreed.

"And now she's with Trevor." Ben said, clicking his tongue with pity.

"We'll pray for him." Clint grinned.

"Your love is like a rollercoaster baby, baby... caught up in ride!" the three false falsettos continued, going through the motions of some dance they had made up for the song that could be done while sitting down.

"You guys!!!" Timber exclaimed. "I'm having so much fun!"

Bob laughed at his friend's ability to articulate every feeling she experienced without shame.

"We should get together more often, just the three of us." Carmen agreed.

"SLEEPOVER!" Bob and Timber said at the same time then started laughing. "At my house, tonight." Timber finished with a smile. "We can do makeup and hair!"

"Makeup and hair!!!" Carmen exclaimed.

"Ewww, you always make me look like a drag queen." Bob whined.

"Well, technically..." Timber trailed off.

"Don't even say it." Bob said. "My leg hair is still growing back from that."

"From what?" Carmen asked.

Bob shook his head. "You don't EVEN want to know!" he exclaimed. "But I'll let you guys do my makeup, but NO blue eyeshadow."

"Yeah, it makes your skin look really weird." Timber agreed.

"You guys are CRAZY!!!" Carmen exclaimed.

"I LOVE that song!" Timber laughed. "CRAZY!!! Baby, I'm so into you..."

"You've got that somethin' what can I do?" Carmen joined in.

"Baby, you spin me arou-ow-ound..." Bob chimed.

"The earth is movin' but I can't feel the ground!" Timber sang.

"Everytime you look at me!" they all sang in unison. "My heart is jumpin' it's easy to see... YOU DRIVE ME CRA---ZY! I just can't sleep! I'm so excited! I'm in too deep! Oh-oh-oh CRAZY! But it feels alright! Baby thinking of you keeps me up all night!"

"Just shoot me now." Clint whimpered.

* * *

Scott laid a myriad of kisses on his girlfriend's neck, trying to get her to succumb to his charm.

"Scott..." she whimpered. "Not now, not here..." she whispered, thinking of the masses of people who passed by the outdoor restaurant.

Scott covered her mouth with a kiss, obviously not going to take no for an answer. His fingers grazed her hips, wanting to be aloud access to what was underneath her shirt, but knowing she wouldn't let him in public.

"Let's go back to the car." Angela suddenly said, starting to get up.

Scott didn't need to be asked twice. He sprang to his feet and snatched her hand, practically dragging her to the parking lot. Angela giggled at his persistence, but nevertheless ran after him.

* * *

"What's with your friend?" Trevor asked as he watched Kelly pick at a Greek salad.

"Which friend?" she asked.

"That guy. Clit or whatever."

"His name's Clint, and I don't know what his problem is." she replied.

"He seems rude." Trevor said dryly.

"He's really not usually like that." Kelly defended. "He's really sweet."

"Yeah, right..." Trevor trailed off. "I think he's just jealous that I have you and he doesn't. Well he can't get you because you're mine and I'm not giving you up without a fight." he said firmly.

She smiled, blushing slightly at his sweet comment. Trevor reached under the table and put his hand on her knee.

* * *

"Scott..." Angela murmured as his fingers fumbled with the buttons on the from of her shirt.

She sat on him, straddling his waist as they made out in the back seat. Not caring who saw them, he started to undo her blouse, wanting to caress her breasts.

She was wearing a white lacy bra that day, causing the erection in his pants to grow. His lips traveled down her throat to her chest, laying wet open mouthed kisses on the tops of her breasts. She lolled her head back in pleasure.

His hands crept up the back of her shirt to undo her bra, but she stopped him.

"What's the matter? Did I do something wrong?" he asked frantically.

"No Scott... it's just that... I'm kinda self conscious." she told him reluctantly.

"Why?" he asked, disbelieving that someone as beautiful as her could be self concious.

She shrugged. "I don't really like people to see me." she said.

Scott pouted. "When are you not going to be self conscious anymore?" he asked like a little child.

Angela laughed and started to button her shirt. "I dunno." she replied. "But I do know that I want to try something." she continued.

Scott raised an eyebrow. "Something like what?" he asked.

She looked into his blue eyes and smiled, running her hand over the lump in his pants. She started on his belt, sliding off his lap so she was curled on the floor between his legs.

Scott smiled even wider. "Are you gonna...?" he asked, excited beyond imaginable.

She grinned up at him, unzipping his fly.

As soon as the restraints were gone, his fully aroused manhood sprang forth, standing tall. Her eyes visibly went wide when she saw what she was getting herself into. She doubted her mouth could fit over it comfortably.

She took it in her fist, leaning her head in and taking one of his testicles in her mouth. Scott's eyes rolled back in his head as he experienced greater pleasure that he ever had before. Of all the fellacio he had ever received, no one had EVER sucked his balls. That feeling was all too much for him.

Her lips slowly and gradually worked their way up his immense shaft, finding their way to the head in a long wet trail. When they finally reached his genital peak, they lingered on the tip for a moment. She left a light kiss over his defined cum slit, making him shudder in bliss that he hadn't felt for a lone time. But nothing could compare to the fireworks that exploded in his head sending him to outer space as she took him into her mouth in one great suck.

He filled her entire mouth, stretching at her thin lips, with his enormous cock. She took him all the way to the back of her throat, working her throat muscles with every downward motion. He thoroughly enjoyed what she was doing, little gasps and moans making this evident. Little splashes of precum oozed onto her tongue and she swallowed them, feeling the warmth coat her throat all the way down. But the feeling was totally different when he finally came, filling her mouth so quickly with his hot seed.

She slid her lips off of him, swallowing in one big gulp. Scott brought her lips to his, invading her mouth with his tongue and tasting himself. He had never minded the taste of his own cum.

"Thanks baby, that was awesome." he said with a smile. He would have never thought in a million years that Angela of all girls would suck him off.

* * *

"Still bummed out?" Ben asked Clint, going over to him where he was seated at a picnic table.

Clint half shrugged. "Kinda. Thanks for asking."

"Get over it Clint!" Ben exclaimed cheerfully. He laid his hand on his friend's shoulder. "I'll buy you a soda if you smile."

Clint wondered why Ben was being so nice to him. Ben was Dave's best friend. He usually hung out with Dave and rarely spoke to him of all people. But suddenly, Ben seemed to have more interest in Clint than in anyone else of the group. He had noticed that occurrence lately.

"Okay." Clint said with a smile.

"Cool, come on." Ben said.

Clint got up and followed his friend over to the concession stand.

"So you busy tonight Clint?" Ben asked, taking his wallet out as they neared the front of the quickly moving line.

"Naw. I was just planning on watching sit-coms in Sheila's bathrobe and eating cookie-dough ice-cream." the eldest triplet replied with a smug smile.

Ben cracked a smile of his own. "You wanna go out with me?" he asked, then quickly caught his mistake. "I mean, do you want to go to like this club with me? There's lots to do tonight."

"Just the two of us?" Clint asked, surprised by the proposal.

"Yeah, sure why not? I mean, you wouldn't want Kelly tagging along. That's probably the last thing you need." his friend grinned.

"Yeah, that's true." Clint agreed. "Sure. That sounds cool."

"Whatdya want?" Ben asked, gesturing for the menu beside the register.

"Coke's fine, thanks." Clint replied, barely paying attention.

"Two Cokes." Ben told the teenager behind the counter.

Clint glanced at Ben. The boy was being overly friendly. He wondered what was going on. Either way, he had a feeling he was going to find out.

* * *

Bob giggled mindlessly, nearing tipping over with Timber on his back. "You guys, this is going to be so much fun!" he exclaimed, panting for breath.

"I know!!!" Carmen rhapsodized, swatting his behind and making him laugh even more.

"I swear you guys, you'd better calm your asses down before getting in the car." Scott scolded. "I'm not dealing with that the whole way home.

Angela just grinned as she climbed into the driver's seat of her parent's mini van.

"Let's sing a song." Bob whispered to the two girls as Timber slid off his back.

"What song?" Carmen asked.

"I dunno, just something to annoy Scott." Bob replied, sliding open the side door.

"I heard that!" Scott said, looking back at them from the passenger's seat.

Bob grinned innocently at his older brother who was in a surprisingly good mood.

Clint climbed into the farthest back row with Ben wedged in beside him. Jen was on Ben's other side, and Kelly and Trevor at the other side of the seat; Kelly situated comfortably in Trevor's lap. Dave, Bob, Carmen, and Timber squeezed in the middle row. Angela turned on the radio as she started the car and as luck would have it, an all too familiar song came on the radio.

"Hey! This is our song!" Bob exclaimed.

"YEAH!!!" Timber clapped her hands.

"Oh God, please turn it off!" Dave whimpered.

"So no one told you life was gonna be this way!!!" Timber and Bob belted at the top of their lungs. "Your job's a joke you're broke, you're love-life's DOA!!!"

"Please, make it stop..." Dave rapped his head against the window.

"I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU!!!!" the two best friends wailed.

Scott was yearning to reach forward to flick off the radio, but decided against it, seeing the smile on his girlfriend's face. Angela was so beautiful to him.

"I love you." he said, reaching out and touching her knee.

She smiled at him. "Pardon me? she asked over the pandemonium.

"I love you!" he said louder.

"What?" she asked, still not able to hear him over the din going on in the backseat.

Scott instinctively flicked off the radio. "I LOVE YOU!!!" he yelled.

Everyone else in the car was silent.

"Awwwww!!!" Bob crooned. "That's so sweet!!!"

Scott blushed realizing that he had made his private statement public business. Angela flicked on the radio. She rested her hand on his knee. "I love you too." she mouthed back.

* * *

A dim shaft of light illuminated the dining room as Carmen flicked on a lamp rarely used in the Moore house. The loud but light strains of what sounded like a ukulele wafted through the room and she began to sway her hips to the relaxing sound as she picked at the spread of foods on the dining room table.

Bob gracefully twirled into the room, his long hair having been twisted into two French braids by the two girls. Timber was last into the room, carrying another bowl of junk foods. She was covered only by a sheet that had been wrapped toga style around her thin frame. The other two teens were dressed much in the same fashion.

Brother bought a coconut he bought it for a dime and sister had another one she paid a quarter lime...

Henry Nilsson's raspy voice contrasted greatly with the avid moods of the three.

"He put the lime in the coconut and drank it all up..." Carmen trailed off, humming the rest of the words as she filled her mouth with nachos.

"He said 'Doctor, ain't there nothing I can take?' he said 'Doctor? To relieve this belly ache' he said 'Doctor? Ain't there nothing I can take?' he said 'Doctor? to relieve this belly ache?" Bob sang along, doing an odd dance that consisted of him raising one leg and spinning around.

Timber went up behind him and simulated spanking motions causing Carmen to nearly choke on her chips.

"You guys are too much!" she laughed.

"New song." Bob announced, disappearing into the next room where the stereo was blaring.

"Oh God..." Timber trailed off, stealing a chip off of the tray. "I can only imagine what he's going to put in."

"Whatdya want to do?" Carmen asked, not having mercy on the treats on the table.

Timber was about to reply when the music came back on.

I like big BUTTS and I connot lie! A rap artist's voice avowed while the background beat throbbed in the ears of the two females.

Bob danced back into the room, waving the hem of his 'toga' as he twirled around some more like a bacchanal.

Timber and Carmen laughed wildly, watching their friend make a complete and utter fool of himself.

Deep in the jeans she's wearin' I'm hooked and I can't stop staring...

"Shake what your mamma gave you Bob!" Carmen called, clutching her stomach with laughter.

He did just that, wagging his buttocks in the air and thoroughly enjoying himself. This was the way it was meant to be. The three of them, together. The three musketeers.

The intense stench of cigarette smoke choked Clint as he walked, shivering beside Ben while the ground seemed to vibrate. Under normal circumstances, it would have been still. But that night, the earth was moving. That was only because of the knowledge he possessed. Going on under his feet was possibly the biggest party of his life.

Ben knocked on the door of a desolate looking coffee shop. A woman in her twenties almost instantly appeared behind the glass. She seemed to be the artsy type, her black hair cut very short and shaggy. She wore black cat frame glasses with rhinestones in the corners and had a thin silver hoop in her nostril. Her blue eyes blended with her pale skin, but her bright red lipstick did not. Dressed in all black, a choker with a cat shaped charm stood out dramatically. She opened the door and looked at Ben expectantly.

"The eagle has landed." Ben said, a statement that made Clint laugh.

The woman seemed oblivious to his laughter. She smiled at Ben and opened the door wider for him to enter.

"Was that a password or something?" Clint whispered once the two were inside the darkened coffee shop.

Ben just grinned at him. "Welcome to the underground Clint." he said, leading him through the back room to a stairwell.

When the door at the bottom of the stairs opened, an amazing swell of techno music blared out, boiling Clint's blood and blowing his hair back. He instinctively plugged his fingers in his ears as they entered an enormous room full of noise, people and the smell of sex, drugs, and alcohol.

"What is this place?" Clint asked, shouting above the din to be heard by his friend who wasn't affected by the noise at all.

"Haven't you ever been to one of these?" Ben asked, leading the Moffatt boy to the wet bar on the other side of the large room in the corner.

The two jostled their way across the dance floor, squeezing by the writhing ravers and the dancing young people.

"I don't even know what this is!!!" Clint exclaimed, bumping into a girl that was drunk off her ass.

"It's an underground club Clint!" Ben said matter-of-factly, pulling him by the arm. "Let's get a drink."

"Do you come here often?" Cling asked.

"Sometimes." Ben replied, tapping on the counter-top of the bar to get the tender's attention. "Like maybe once a week."

Clint laughed. "This place is cool." he finally concluded, looking at his surroundings. It felt good to see everyone enjoying themselves and existing in perfect harmony.

"Drink this." Ben directed, sliding a drink in front of Clint.

"What is it?"

"Some good stuff." Ben grinned.

Though Clint figured it was some sort of alcohol, he gulped down the vile tasting liquid, surprised when it didn't burn his throat.

"What was that?'' he asked, coughing slightly.

"Uh... Pepsi." Ben replied.

The drink was Pepsi, but Clint wasn't aware of the drug his friend had slipped inside.

"Oh." Clint said passively, diverting his attention back to the dance floor.

Ben chugged his shot of vodka, wincing at the hot feeling that spread down his throat. "Let's go dance." he said to his friend, tugging him by the elbow.

Clint noticed the relaxed feeling that spread over his body. He floated with his friend, completely disconnected from any troubles, apprehensions, or inhibitions that he once had. It was time for fun...

* * *

Scott twirled his guitar-callused fingers in his girlfriend's hair. Angela was resting soundly on his chest as they sat at what had been dubbed as 'their spot'. The sun had long since set, but the two continued to sit in each other's arms, oblivious to the cold air that swirled around them.

He looked down at her, checking to see if her eyes were closed. They were. She was sleeping. She looked so beautiful when she slept. She was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. She was gentle, she was pretty, she was a blast to hang out with... and even when they were intimate, he couldn't think of anywhere he would rather be. She wasn't just his girlfriend, or his love, she was his best friend. He would never hurt her.

But he had. It had been months since, but he had hurt this angel, his angel. Scott had managed to somehow push that to the farthest part of his mind, leaving the skeleton in the closet, in the shadows. He wanted to forget about the entire Gigi incident, and he nearly had, it was a secret he never intended to be let out. What his angel didn't know couldn't hurt her. He never wanted to hurt her.
